How corrections are reviewed
Reports are reviewed by an editor and, where appropriate, by the original author. We verify the claim before making changes.
How corrections are displayed
Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the corrected article, with a brief description of what was changed and when.
Corrections vs updates
A correction addresses an error in the original reporting. An update reflects new information that has emerged after publication.
